At least after they finish basic training. While this did cause some states to lower drinking age, pressure from MADD got it moved to 21 in the late 70s/early 80s.



On the bright side, since, IIRC, about 1970, 18 year olds could vote for that very reason.

I would like the drinking age to stay the same and if someone wants to enlist before age 21 (and I get why they would), I'd like to see them not put into dangerous situations,  but serve in an adjunct position until age 21. Is that unreasonable??? Thanks for your comment!!

As a hippie freak ( ;-) ) I see nothing wrong with your proposal. The problem with military intervention is it rarely, if ever, allows that luxury. Perhaps it would help with PTSD, perhaps not. I don't want to be president, but boy, ID love to be his advisor.

You do not know me and had you bothered looking at my other memes you would have realized that a hippie I am not! In fact, I am hugely conservative and hate Jane "traitor" Fonda with a passion!
