ORGANIC, CONVENTIONAL, AND TRANSGENIC CROPS ARE ALL GROWN WITH THE USE OF PESTICIDES. OUT OF ALL THREE, THE TRANSGENICS USE THE LEAST AMOUNTS AND THE SAFEST FORMULATIONS. ORGANIC APPROVED PESTICIDES ARE IN MANY CASES MORE TOXIC AND LESS EFFECTIVE THAN THEIR SYNTHETIC COUNTERPARTS REQUIRING MORE APPLICATIONS PER CROP. AND NONE OF THIS IS MEANINGFUL ANYWAY BECAUSE THE LEVELS OF PESTICIDE RESIDUE PRESENT IN FOOD ARE ORDERS OF MAGNITUDE BELOW THE THRESHOLD FOR CONCERN. 99.5% OF ALL PESTICIDES WE EAT ARE NATURALLY OCCURRING COMPOUNDS PRODUCED BY THE PLANTS THEMSELVES WHICH ARE OF SIMILAR TOXICITY TO APPLIED PESTICIDES.
