A Must Have, If You Are Traveling To Europe

I kid you not... I live in Denmark and carrying a pepper spray is illegal here "Because you know, people might use it aggressively and we can't have that, now can we??"... Apparently rape is wrong, but self defense is even more wrong.

I prefer calling it collectivism. Denmark isn't fully socialist - rather part-capitalism, part-socialism - but we are highly regulated in many ways. For the common good, of course... ;-)

Does the government own the means of production?

No, they are privately owned, so in this way the country isn't socialist. But since the ownership is at least partly controlled by the government, you could make a case that government owns the means of production indirectly, and that the country is at least half-socialist.
