That's the trouble with nuclear energy. If there's ever an accident, you can't stop it...it keeps going forever. God forgive us.

Why doesn't the world just go solar already?

Because big oil donates 100's of millions to the members of Congress and the Senate. Sad but true

Actually, nuclear energy is arguably the safest form of generating electricity. Fossil Fuels are dirty and cause health problems. Renewable energy has been proven to be especially dangerous to avian life, especially in the case of solar panels where a bird flying over a solar power plant can literally be cooked alive. However nuclear energy is clean, produces massive amounts of power, and is getting safer every day.
