Theme weeks aren't compulsory :) It's hard to say why a meme doesn't do well. It might be the image, the caption, the time it was submitted etc. We've all had memes we had high hopes for sink without trace and others that we submitted to burn a submission do well. It's the mystery of imgflip :)
