When subject matter taught in schools are a problem, it is up to the parents to step in. Become involved and vocal in your PTA. Run for school board.
During the last election, I looked up stats on how successful the Green Party was. I was surprised to discover they actually hold offices in three states. The brunt of the positions held, though, are on school boards.
Find the candidates that you feel will educate your kids right, then put them in office.

True. Getting on their board of trustees requires a lot more than anger at the current system. Only option available is private colleges, but you pay dearly for that.
Best you can do is raise the kids best way so when a prof States something, they know the right questions to ask. When I went to college, I used a blurb I heard on the Jimmy Stewart Show that served me well: don't answer my questions, question my answers.
