It was more like, lol, imgflip is crazy how some memes shoot to the front page, while some get overlooked. There's nothing wrong with the meme.

I used to think it was just me that got overlooked but after looking through some top users memes, I see that it happens to them to. It is strange.

I think at least part of it has to do with activity on the site. For example, when I'm commenting a lot and interacting with other users, it seems like more people check out my memes. It's not 100% predictable, but it seems like one of the patterns.

I've gotten a little more action since I got on the leader board. People probably think they'll gets some views by commenting on my memes now. I've had some extra time lately to comment so that helps. :D

That seems about right. It could be people going for views, or it could be just people seeing your name and getting curious.

This probably sounds stupid coming from someone with as many points as I have, but there's a balance. It's not always actually that fun to be that well-known on the site, because then you get attacked by trolls and see people blaming you for stuff that you didn't do.

It's good to have people seeing and commenting on your memes obviously, because when you make stuff you want people to see it, but you don't want to be overwhelmed, either. Sometimes it's good to be able to have some obscurity. I don't know if that makes sense.

Yeah, I totally get that. I don't get trolled or anything but after having a few popular memes with a lot of comments I realize I don't really want that all the time because it's exhausting. I would rather be creating than spending all my time responding to comments for hours. I do enjoy commenting but you're kinda stuck in it when it's your meme. I can't even imagine what it's like to have over a thousand notifications . haha Looks like you have a good system though
