AtG also didn't need firearms to do that. So, banning guns is CLEARLY not an argument. X{D

I know Ghengis Khan or Kublai Khan are probably the best conquerors, but AtG is my favorite.

I would credit AtG's successes with his spectacular phalanx. The phalanx is what helped the Greeks fair well against their hostile neighbors to the East, but AtG's improvement on the phalanx let him defeat the Greeks and the Persians.
