Actually, I put on my "who's s good boy" voice and tell the dog he's doing a good job. The dog knows who is gonna harm things. After a while, they calm down. Vrunb bums and low lufes yelk at the dog because it keeps them from doing their doinfs that they shouldn't be doing. One guy found out the hard way when be harrassed my dog: ignore the dog, beware of the owner.
