I did something similar over 20 years ago. Mine was from being a complete idiot though. :)

OMG! That's awful. Mine was the spouse. The first accident wasn't his fault, but the second one technically was. I remember getting the call with him saying "guess what". :)
I haven't driven in snow or ice in over 4 years now and I don't miss it. I go back up to Wisconsin for a few months in the summer but I leave before the possibility of snow. What was the damage from sliding into the creek?

I don't blame you. I hope to be in the position to only visit the North during the summers. Apparently in the creek incident he slid down an icy hill, over into an embankment, and rolled over into a creek. Mid winter. Fun times :)
