The sense then steal the dankness

That's what I tell people too... I wish I took my own advice. The worst thing is thinking of a meme or joke while driving, I keep trying to retell it to myself over and over until I can write it down... and invariably I forget it before I can record it!

As a comedy writer and former stand-up, I find doing memes easy. I don't expect others to come by it easily, but I know there are a lot of sharp folks out there. Even folks that post jokes so old they have whiskers on them.

I can sit down and find inspiration for them anywhere. If you're not able to write it down try and remember the subject. When you get a chance to write it down, you will remember a bit of the joke. Think harder, and suddenly, you not only remember the joke, but can come up with several with the same subject.

I love it when someone posts a challenge meme with a topic. Raydog really challenged me with his poetry challenges a few weeks ago. The man could be a head writer for TV. Anybody can be funny, but to inspire others like he does. I've thrown a couple challenges out there, but got next to nothing.

There are some amazing people here of all walks of life! RayDog used to write poetry, he has an account on AllPoetry.com. So do I, but I never wrote a poem (except some terrible haiku just to sign up on the site).

I can write poetry, but choose not to. When I wrote my book back in 94, I had a university ask if they could teorint some excerpts because the prose danced across the pages like a ballerina. My favorite poet was Ogden Nash.

Me and my brothers are good at puns, ok he is much better. On Christmas we were opening presents and he's been making puns the whole time. Socks was a popular present, so my mind was racing on how to make a pun. The French word is Chaussettes, so I got the right timing and delivery to jump in with "it looks like you're... CHAUSSETTE (so set) for life" which got everyone laughing, I even said it again on the next sock present and it still worked, possibly upstaging my punderful brother :)

Oh, I get my puns in, although I usually don't other languages. French is like a foreign language, it's all Greek to me. I really should have learned it, though. O have so many French cartoons on my computer, some nearly 100 years old, that I've tried to translate into English. First I type in the caption in Google translate. The literal English translation comes back, and I have to translate that into conversational English. I love the French sense of humor. I can't do that with German or Croat. Spanish? I'm not fluent, but I can get laughs by not being fluent.

But anyway you cut it, IRS like the wise man said, "A Pun is its own reword".
