I'm more of a Star Wars fan. Why does Darth Vader hire stormtroopers who are terrible at aiming/completely blind?

Since there are no McDonald's in the Star Wars universe, low skilled people take on storm trooper jobs. They get hired because the emporor gets away with paying minimum wage.

(reply to your last comment) I bet stormtroopers pay for their own uniform. Cheap quality, not bulletproof, and you can't even pee in it. I'm glad that our taxes don't go into stormtrooper uniform- that would completely change the whole Star Wars storyline.
