People are still obsessed with needing to unwrap gifts instead of opening gift cards or envelopes of money. Shopping for people is such a pain in the ass. I leave it to my wife LOL

Yeah, and photo editing isn't really my thing, so I haven't really learned all the tricks yet.

There's a lot you can tweak, adjust and flat out fudge but the images need to be somewhat compatible. Those old pics are just off with the coloring and resolution so it makes it all that much harder to blend it.

Idont have a pen, this is a first generation basic Surface, so it is really limited compared to the pro versions. (finger and mousepad is all I have) I am using Pixart free software, so that is fairly basic too.

I would still think it'd be fine using a mouse. The software isn't demanding on resources. I only use about 5% of the program to do all the stuff I've done to date. There's lots of things I have nfc what it even does or is. Totally worth it and it's free - public works photo editing.

I wanted to turn his head a little to one side to make it fit better, but the turn option didn't come up like it normally does for me.

I am also using a Surface Tablet with windows 8.1r so my graphic editing software is somewhat limited.

Do you use Gimp.org? I use Gimp.org but with a mouse. I'm not sure how/if it works with a surface pen or not. Not sure if that would be easier than a mouse or not either but your Surface has USB ports for external wireless mouse so...
