I despise anime of all kinds

Is it the fanbases? The unnaturally big eyes? The exaggerated voices? DETAILZ BOI!

It's all of it. My brother is BIG TIME into anime with a collection of tens-of-thousands of anime videos and I've seen a LOT because of him. He tried to get me into it for years. I think I've seen the entire DBZ series lol.

I just don't like it. I see it as an animated comic book (also hate comics) and I don't understand the appeal. Seems like cheap cartooning to me. Final Fantasy? UGH BARF. Tried for 20+ years to like that game and I just can't!

I totally get it. I despise Call of Duty because my brother always wanted me to play it. However, he isn't big into anime, save for some casual Naruto watching. I love Naruto, and adore Studio Ghibli films, which I highly recommend if you haven't tried it already, but other than that, the animes seem just a little too similar to each other.

Just not my thing is all. BUT it has grown in popularity sooooo much over the last decade. My kids can't get enough of it.
