Spider-Man:Homecoming is ushering the supporting cast of Miles Morales but stuck with Peter Parker

I don't know why they feel like they have to mix these damn multiple story lines to try and please all the fans of the different variations at the same time. It comes out looking like ass and making little sense. Didn't anybody learn that lesson from Ang Lee's Hulk disaster?

I think this one will do well. Miles Morales, cast of side characters are much more entertaining. They just wanted to keep it Peter Parker cause I think the population in whole (not comic fans) would have no idea who Miles Morales is and think it was a stunt. Marvel Studies dose things right (Ang Lee's Hulk was not Marvel Studies)

Maybe. It may have to do with the fact that I got into comics when McFarlane was drawing "Spiderman". I'm a bit biased, I suppose, as that is the story line I prefer. I really enjoyed the first two Spiderman movies (with Tobey Maquire), but fell off with the third. Amazing Spiderman was okay (with Andrew Garfield), and have yet to even attempt Amazing Spiderman 2.

I agree with you. But I have complete trust in Marvel, they always know what is best about their characters. If you can make Ant-Man, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Dr. Strange into good movies, Spider-Man will be a home run with them.

True. I'd have to say I've been more impressed than disappointed with what I've seen so far. Real nervous about "Infinity War", though. That's going to be the real test. I just don't see how it could ever live up to the comic series.

You might be setting yourself up for disappointment if you expect to me like the comic. It has to be its own thing for it to succeed. You will see homages to the comic arc, but it will be a reimagining it... maybe even a better thought our story. Comics do have a history of being rushed and filled with gaps, the movies can correct some of that.

If they expect to keep the comic book faithfuls in their viewing audience, they'd better take great care not to do too much reimagining. But you're probably right. I probably am setting myself up for disappointment with that one. But I've been surprised before, so we'll see.
