My biggest problem with other atheists in general is they have an elitist attitude and try to push their views that there is no god on people who believe in God (whatever religion that may be). In many cases I find it hypocritical because they don't want religious points of view shoved down their throat, but then they try to shove their views down others' throats.

I can promise you I will never attack people for their religious views. I'm fine even discussing it. However, when I see attacks on any religion (or non-religion) I will, and have, fired back. I've defended Islamic and Christian posts on this site, and gone after an anti-atheist meme.

I am 100% behind you on that. Hippocracy does go both ways, and yet it should not happen.

It's 100% both. I wanted an obscure reference for my Xbox gamertag, but changed it 11 years ago. Grew up in Methodist church, but adoptive mom became a teacher at a religious church. One of the ones where people stand up and shout randomly during the service. That's one end of the Christian spectrum to the other. I did something that was neither right nor wrong, she just didn't like, and she told me I was the devil. That was my tipping point with religion. I already had doubts because how scientific/analytical in nature my thought process is. I faked my way though continuing to be a Methodist until I moved out of both my adoptive mom and dads houses. Getting a job where I had to open the CD/movie store at 10 on Sunday sure helped until I moved out for good!

I'm not one to judge, and fully understand your feelings. We all must follow hearts, and our own path. I will not push you down my path, if you will not push me down yours. I believe the respect is mutual, so that should never be an issue.

I have no idea. I think many of us that grew up in strict religious households are torn as adults. I don't frequent church, but still have that catholic fear of God and sin. Ghost is from the South. So a little different than my relationship w God.

I wouldn't know his religious feelings, but I'm sure the name came from a video game character. Hey, gotta run. My daughter has a Christmas concert tonight.

I didn't grow up in a religious household. I was given free choice as to who, what, where to be religious about. I had been pretty much agnostic most of my life, then had a revelation when I was in my Late 30's. For me its about the relationship, not the religion of it all.
