As one GOP candidate after another fell out to the Trump bulldozer. RNC officials discussed adopting a superdelegate system as well. I think, though, after seeing how it hurt the Democrats, the idea may be scrapped, as it takes the power away from the actual voters.

Trump's Bulldozer was just a wave of people finally hearing what they wanted to say from a 'politician'. I have never considered him more than quasi-suave businessman and screen actor. People are not happy that the democrat layer cake produced Hillary Clinton. The democratic layer cake was designed to produce the candidate with the best chance of winning and most experience/understanding of the position. Plain old majority vote system produces the best received candidate. I honestly believe that if Trump sticks to a Screen Actor mentality, let the boys running production keep the show going with intentions to make good on 1 or 2 his campaign promises, he would just be acting out a show of, "look how powerful the American people are". In that way the Republican Party, or at least this president and cabinet, has a potential layer cake.

Well, the Democratic party blew it big time this year. This was the year of
The Populist Vote and they put up the least popular candidate they had. Even without DWS pulling the background shenanigans, Hillary kept saying the wrong thing over and over again. The political layer cake of the DNC was more of a mudpie. The choice of Hillary Clinton as a candidate was poor, to say the least, and may well destroy the Democratic party. Sure, Bernie can run in 2020, but that doesn't mean I'll support his bid. He's not enough to save the party and when they come calling again for the midterms, I'll close my door in their faces because I've had it with them. Why bother voting, even.

I'm for the layer cake because I know it is unavoidable. The DNC's current recipe inspires corruption so long as party hands are paid; which is why Hillary received the nomination. I plan to openly check in on Trump's layer cake, and evaluate the DNC's. I always vote for the best tomorrow even if tomorrow never comes; they will have to kill me before I stop trying to unfold tomorrow before it happens.
