No, I didn't vote for Hillary, nor did I vote for Trump. But if Bernie would have run independent, both parties would have had less votes. The Green Party offered him the nomination, which he declined as he had finally joined the Democratic Party. Even Gary Johnson would not have gotten as many votes.
The only reason Bernie lost the primaries is because he fought a rigged election. He has stayed consistent with his ideology since the early 60s. While he would have got less of the African American vote, he would have had a stronger turnout than Hillary did.
But, with the "impartial" DNC pushing Hillary because she was so electable, he was lucky to make any showing at all. All the DNC did was put up the easiest candidate for Trump to beat because they couldn't see the writing on the wall.
