Seriously, if you've read the Bible, a good portion of it was cleaned up when it was first translated. Even that wasn't good enough for Daniel Webster. He published what we would today call a politically correct Bible.
It ain't gonna change. Mrs.Grundy or one of her cohorts will always try to censor others. Your best bet is weigh your priorities: is it worth the aggravation to argue the point? Best way to stand your ground is not to raise your voice. Keep calm, listen closely, because the "offended" party will always say something stupid that you can hang the with. But don't let it be a "gotcha" moment. Stop, think for a moment and calmly question their statement. Verbal jujitsu works every time.
