Brace yourselves; I am Canadian

Where I live in Alberta, it is terrible. If you live in one of the Southern states, you would not even be able to fathom it. January is the worst. It can get to -40, although this doesn't happen every year. -25 Celcius (13 below Fahrenheit) is pretty typical though for a January day. I am working in January, or we would be going south that month too. Some places are better though. Vancouver is OK, but it is cloudy and rainy for most of the winter.

I'm from Wisconsin, we're usually around -13 Celcius, but get stretches where it can get -30

You would be able to handle it here then. I am just getting too old for this anymore. When I am in California or Florida in the winter I chuckle at people complaining how cold they are if it is below seasonal for them and they have to put on a hoodie to go out in the afternoon.

I'm from a Hayward WI, way up nort but I moved to Florida about 4 years ago and hope to never see snow again. :)

I bet it does. In the winter we are only outside to get to our cars and then go from our cars to the next building. I suppose it is similar there in the summer except you go from air conditioning to air conditioning rather than heated building to heated car to heated building.

I rented a house in Paradise for the month of March. Maybe we will be neighbors

Nice. Pretty coincidental, I'm not in Paradise though. It says the average high here in March is about 69 degrees (21 Celsius).

I know. Most of the pools aren't open in February at the hotels. The Canadians are like wtf

Doesn't open in our neighborhood until about May.

We have been to Vegas 4 or 5 times, but never for this long. We usually go for one week in February and stay in a hotel on the strip. My favorite hotel was actually Trump Tower

I like Florida. I have gone 4 different times. I have visited Daytona Beach, Tampa, Orlando, Miami, the Keys, Fort Lauderdale and Hollywood.

I'm way up north in Pensacola so it actually gets chilly in the winter. I would rather be down south but I have family here so I have to deal with putting on a hoodie every once and a while. I liked Daytona Beach and I hope to make it down to the keys some time.

As you know, a hoodie is better than a parka
