It depends. If you are doing a custom template, I would say submit in the morning. It takes longer for them to feature usually. Other than that it seems to be luck. I have submitted 3 memes at the same time, and some get more views because of early upvotes.

The longer it takes something to feature, the further back it falls on the latest and the fewer views. They are counted when they are generated and not when they are submitted, so don't make something and then wait to submit it. Memes are featured about 2 minutes before the top of every hour, so don't submit something at say 9:50. It will take until at least 11:00 for it to feature. Try submitting shortly after a new batch features.

Ok, I see a big part of my problem then. I usually make them the night before submitting. Tomorrow I'll try to make them when I'm submitting them. Thanks for the advice.

Your welcome. DashHopes and Raydog both do a lot of custom templates. They are good about answering questions if you have any more about best times to submit etc. Just comment with a question on one of their memes.

I only started getting more views on my memes once I gave up trying to get views and started making funny meme comments on front page memes. So that's the advice I give everyone. :)
