That actually happened. The story is that Robert Downey Jr. was filming somewhere and took time to meet some people who had gathered to see what was happening. The kid had been told he was going to meet Ironman, so he wasn't expecting a guy in jeans and a t-shirt. If they had dressed up a bozo in an Ironman suit he would've been the happiest kid in the world :)
