Catholicism is a grab bag of every religious or superstitious notion from all the countries that got conquered into the roman empire. there is no trinity, no hell, and there especially is no reason why the pope wears a Dagon priest hat. the Nunnery was literally a place for "celibate" priests to go to have sex (and when that stopped the priests switched to little boys). There are 1001 reasons why Catholics, Muslims and other big religions are the personification of evil (not the people who go to church or mosque and believe in good, but the organizations as a whole), and you are only feeling guilty because you are ditching family or friends. FYI, its the same for every person who lapses with their religion, its not the faith that makes you guilty, its the brainwashed people you're leaving behind and can't help.
