I had heard at first, they wanted it to be a prequel set in the 70's, but that would be too expensive. I thought it sounded awesome. They were all going to play their own dads.

And they ended up crowd funding the sequel. I haven't seen any clips of it yet. But I've watched some of their promos.

I hope they don't do like HW and just copy bits and scenes form the first one to "play it safe". I want new stuff. They can do somethings the same like repeater, meow, and the other games/pranks they play. :{

Thats awesome bro. I think i hear ayleast one supertrooper reference everyday so its hard to beat a classic. I think we are all guilty of plagerising the shit out of it at some point. So many films like that twnd to get ruined if the sequal isnt as good but their is a few good ones. :)

There's some stuff I want them to bring back. Like that trance/house song they played with the Dutch swingers and when Rabbit steals their porsche. They could use that for a scene as long as it's done right.

Like, I love Anchorman. Anchorman 2 is funny, but they just copied the first film's "formula". And a bunch of HW films do that. I hate that. It lessens the film and is a rip off to the movie goer.

I like all their films so far, and I'm sure they're talented enough to make a great sequel. Movies have just gotten so predictable lately. :{O

Totally agree with everything you just said. The classic one liners flow. I sometimes think that writers abit worried if they don't have a healthly mix of old jokes and new they wint keep all the audience happy. I say go with it and just believe in the jokes and trust the delivery and thats what creates a new audience :)
