The daily leaderboard or the alltime leaderboard?

past 7, it does not change much.
right? or is it a battle zone now?

Still not sure which leaderboard you're talking about. The weekly leaderboard is hard as hell to stay on. I got lucky with 4 front pagers within a week. I don't know how I'm still at 90k+ since it's been 4 days since I think any were on the front page. Not even two weeks ago I was barely hanging on at #10 for a day or two.

Alltime leaderboard is mostly static, but hokeewolf and I are tearing up through the ranks, and steamfitter is also advancing through.

oh great the weekly is a war zone! it used to be were it was somewhat of a fight but there were people who owned it

Dash, Raydog and myself are the only ones who've been there everyday the last two months. Usually Dash and Raydog in the top two, and I'm usually between 5-10. Others are frequenters, but have dropped off a day or two at a time.

When I started, the record for 7 day leaderboard was like 68,000 points and high averages were 30 to 50,000 points per week...it is unusual at the moment, that the low score is in the 50,000 range but it has happened before. Everyone having such high scores is not really normal, but it too has happened before...I think it's cool that more and more users are getting higher scores, yourself included...as you well know, anyone can do it if they put in the work...

I was actually off of the 7 day board for a few days this week because I was moving, but I'm back on now...

It was the most shocking thing I've seen!!! I figured you had to be on some sort of break though because you didn't have any posts.

But I guess its time for some imgfilip history, long ago the top man, was I bevile his name was mememaker3 well after months him being the beloved king a porn raid happen, and then athoughtr one. so the owner of the site tracked the ip and it was Mememaker3's ip and he admitted to it and was banned. there was a short lived power vacuum after that. some drama happened in my circle so I had to leave, but the guy who caused it left awhile ago. just finding this out this month I came back

I was moving crosstown, and I lost tv and internet for 3 days...I hate memeing on my phone, and I needed a break...but the new house is set up now and I'm just settling in.

Rock on. I hate losing services with moves like that. Not a fan of using my phone either. If it's other than threads like this and I have a text reply to a picture meme comment, 90% chance I'm on my phone...lol. I haven't been around long, but has the weekly leaderboard ever had such a high average score? 9 people over 60k? 8 people over 70k?! 4 people over 85k!?

Page 9 Week was probably the highest low for weekly, I think 65k. But not 4 over 85k, I was in 4th that week with 78k, about all of them except the top 2 (Dash and Raydog) were within 20k from each other. I could make it all 60k again if I had the time and if there were better memes lol.

I know I first got on the weekly towards the end of that week, but didn't start paying attention to the actual totals until a little later when I realized I was able to stay on it. Makes perfect sense though that folks who took advantage of Page 9 week who were established users could easily land some major points that whole week.

ah so what I guessed happened after I left is that some top levels left after, he was banned, and thus the top 7 became more of a war zone but is stabilizing now

Yeah I didn't pay attention until I got there either, I got there the same day I made the Top 100, kinda wasn't fair though since I asked if people would upvote me there and I'd upvote them back, and I got 19k points that day lol.

Wowza! Never heard about that from anyone. I know TedCruz and his alts trolled lots of people. There's been another memer go off on users/troll them, but that's it. The biggest mystery to me is what happened to Invicta, but I'm afraid to ask in case it was a real life tragedy or something :/

I've only been around just over 3 months (6/20/16) is my "began contributing date". Ignore the April date, that was just so I could save images in meme wars with my coworkers. All submissions came after June 20. I do what I can. Most, if not all, of the folks in the top 10-15 have been treating it well and really making it feel like a community. A great way to meet a lot of the newer regulars is the page 9 party. Check the link in my profile tagline for tips/tricks. I explain it pretty good in there.

I like to comment, what can I say? It helps me get to know more people, like yourself!

Once you get on the weekly and have the visibility from it, it's a lot easier for people to find your stuff too.

Maybe that's a good thing? Keeps things fresh by getting more users involved and their different styles of humor seen better. There's certainly a group of community leaders, but they're all encouraging to all users. I think I might be starting to crack into that community leader profile, at least some of the newer users seem to put me there.

Welcome back, anyways... Not sure what you meant by power vacuum but definitely a lot has happened since I joined. There's more activity and more points, used to be the top user only had maybe 500,000 points.

Yea, I just meant there was a short time when the top 3 would flip, and he was kind of the leader to so that fell apart

Well I don't really know the answer to that, but welcome back. It's always good to see an older user come back again. :)
