This makes no sense, numbers have been around forever, just look at artistotle in the Greek age B.C. He was one of the first people to use and figure out numbers, you aren't very bright

Actually Erin, most modern historians agree that our number system has its roots in the Indus Valley civilisations which pre-date the Greek. Aristotle was more involved with philosophy, i.e. metaphysics, linguistics and rhetoric...word stuff. Pythagoras and Euclid tend to be the Greeks we remember for...number stuff. Oh, and we don't say BC anymore, it's BCE (Before the Common Era). But thanks for pointing out my lack of "bright"-ness :-D

They knew a lot more then that the Greeks did, not just philosophy

and yes, i did know that, that's why i mentioned Pythagoras and Euclid because we were talking about numbers and those guys are often referred to as the 'fathers' of Mathematics and Geometry :-D
