Actually Erin, most modern historians agree that our number system has its roots in the Indus Valley civilisations which pre-date the Greek. Aristotle was more involved with philosophy, i.e. metaphysics, linguistics and rhetoric...word stuff. Pythagoras and Euclid tend to be the Greeks we remember for...number stuff. Oh, and we don't say BC anymore, it's BCE (Before the Common Era). But thanks for pointing out my lack of "bright"-ness :-D
