That's correct. In 2004, LucasArts released Battlefront, which covered the Original Trilogy, Episode I, Episode II, and part of the 2D-animated 2003 "Clone Wars" microseries. Battlefront II was released the next year, which included battles from all 6 films, including the then-new Episode III. LucasArts was rumored to be working on Battlefront III for years, but it never materialized. The 2015 Battlefront is basically a re-boot that fits within the new Star Wars canon (the Expanded Universe was discontinued in 2014.)
