i'll admit, it was odd for Hasbro to make her an alicorn, but considering how she almost always leads the charge in situations concerning the mane 6, it would make sense for their leader to be, well, an actual leader (i.e: an alicorn)
that's absurd. All she got from the transformation was the ability to fly. she wasn't given any extra boost in her physical or magical power, and is instead given wings to be an "alicorn" (trollestia strikes again!)
