Was gonna go grammar Nazi on "Casted", but something told me to double check. Sure enough, this old form of the word is gaining in popularity.

The only reason I mentioned it was because it was the second time I saw the word in less than a day.

I pity anyone trying to learn English as a second language: new words are added every day, old words take on new meanings, and new spelling. It took over a century to go from catsup to ketchup, and yet, baloney is an outright provocation while bologna it a luncheon meat, even though both sound the same, while Bologna is a region on Europe and sounds nothing like bologna.

Kind of like how colonel sounds like kernal.

Our spelling rules suck. Using various words and the letter combos, it was determined you could spell fish G H O T I.

GH as in touGH
O as in women
TI as in naTIon
