Here's what you do...First, go to the memes on the front page and make as many funny meme comments as you can...both to the memes and to any memes in the comment stream that you want to reply to...the funnier you are the more people will upvote your comments and begin to notice you for the right reasons...EVERYONE looks at the front page memes so you want to make your presence known in those memes for sure...also go to the "latest" pages and do the same, if noone goes to the latest pages and looks at those memes then most newer user memes don't get seen That's the first step for new users...
I don't recommend spamming links to your memes on front page memes because it is generally frowned upon but if you ask people nicely first, most will let you do it with no problem...but it IS against Imgflip's "terms and conditions"...
Be respectful to others and they will do the same to you...try to stay positive and don't be a whiner and you should do great... I hope that helps you get started...but comment, comment, comment...that's where it all starts...be funny and happy memeing.
