Cool. I'm new so I'm not sure the protocol. Do I have to submit memes to have an acct? I tried commenting w a meme and it wouldn't let me.

Well, since you have a user name and a profile page, it looks like you have an account. However, I think you have to meet some set of minimum requirements in order to be able to create “comment memes” (that is, add a meme to a comment). I was thinking the point threshold was 1,000 points – and you are way past that. So, it may be the case that you need to make some meme submissions. I would go ahead and try it out (you will probably only get 2 submissions per day, so it could take a few days for you to meet the “comment meme” submission requirements). I’m pretty much speculating though :/
Users “Socrates” and “Jying” are pretty well versed in the site, and so may have more definitive info for you. Just locate one of their meme submissions, and post your questions in the comments.

Once you reach 1,000 points you'll be allowed to meme comment. After 2,000 points you will be allowed to put a "tag" on your profile. You start out with two meme submissions per day, which will eventually be pushed up to 3 per day once you've been submitting for a bit. But you need to submit memes to get a foothold on this site.

Unless you're being denied by the mods in submitting meme comments, you should be good.
