luckily the budget can carry new sub-floors, hardwood, carpet, paint, and pro cleaning. The previous owners had some pets !!!!!

My daughter and family live upstairs, me down. Between us we have 7 pets. Almost all rescues. Our house has never had a nasty pet odor.
The new house is a disgrace. The previous owners camouflaged the extent of the filth and odor problem with exhaust fans, furniture and boxes, and incense. I feel so sorry for the pets and the kid that had to live in that filth.
