The "prophecy" of the one who would destroy the sith and bring balance to the force, could've been misinterpreted. Yoda even says this.

Anakin destroyed the Sith, but not the dark side or every force user who used the dark side. And it doesn't mean that the Sith couldn't return. The dark side is a part of the force. You can't have the light without the dark. Palpatine created the inbalance and Anakin restored balance. The force isn't out of balance, and Rey's power is an example of this. Also, Luke is too powerful in the light for the force to be out of balance.

Lucas says that it's Anakin. To me it's Luke, from a certain point of view.

Luke is the balance itself in a metaphorical way. Anakin is his father and served as Luke's initial purpose/mission. So Anakin is "the one" and the "balance of the force" is Luke. Through him rebuilding the Jedi Order and keeping the newer Sith and dark side users at bay.

And that should be obvious to people who READ the EU, OR at least watched the 6 films enough to know the story and lore. :{

I love TPM and the prequels. And I think Jake did a great job.

To me, I never forget that a person is an actor or acting. So to me, there are very few "good actors". The good ones are the ones that make you forget that they're acting, obviously.

Jake's Anakin was kind and innocent. He did a great job on being Ani. His lines to Padme and to Shmi are great performances.

The prequel hate pisses me off still. I never understood why anyone thought Jake Lloyd did a bad job. Like you said, I thought his scenes with Padme and Shmi were moving. The scene where he says goodbye to Shmi is a tearjerker and his performance added a whole new dimension to the character and made his turn to Vader that much more tragic.

But the f**king bashers said "that's not Vader, Vader isn't supposed to be like that". What did people expect..for Anakin to start off evil, force choking and killing people when he was a kid? F**kin' idiots.

Spoilers and common sense would say otherwise. If Anakin was the Chosen One who was destined to destroy the Sith (and did so), how could there possibly be another Sith?

The exact prophecy is never stated in the films.

Just because Windu says "the prophecy of the one who will bring balance to the force" and Obi Wan says "you were supposed to destroy the sith" doesn't mean specifically that Anakin would destroy ALL sith.

Anakin was only meant to REBALANCE the force for an equilibrium.

Anakin can't bring "balance" if he destroys ALL sith.

And "spoilers" aren't always accurate. Sometimes HW leaks stuff intentionally to gen up hype.

Anakin IS the Chosen One in Lucas's mind, and it spills over to Luke. Luke is the balance that Anakin wrought.
