The original Donkey Kong had a Gorilla throwing barrels at a little Italian looking dude. No Donkey involved. I suppose tge Gorilka could be construed as KING Kong?
But tge little Italian looking dude needed a name I guess. So they named him 'Mario'. So far that makes sense.
But then in the next game they gave Mario a brother. They named him 'Luigi'.
But they needed a last name. So some genius called them the 'Mario Brothers'. So Mario's full name us apparently 'Mario Mario'?
After that it all went downhill.
