Dear ImgFlip, Please fix...

I just confirmed on my account as well, please report to imgflip. It didn't do this before, so something changed. The memes tag should get it on the Memes view. Usually imgflip is quick to fix when something is reported broken.

Oh interesting. Yeah, I'll send an email. It may be that the memes are being included, based on the meme tag, but then immediately excluded, based on being flagged as "other." Not sure why they would be considered "other," however. Seems like it should apply only to pie charts and demotivationals.

There's a feedback button you can click (on the left of the screen).

So your custom memes aren't visible near the top of in the Latest stream when they feature, unless the "other" filter is checked? That sounds frustrating.

That seems to be the case. In other words, they disappear from the list, when I uncheck "other."

I can't really think of any way to solve that.

But if you want to give me the links or tell me how many days ago certain ones were featured, I can try to scroll through and look for them (when I have time) and see if it comes up that way for me too? I don't know if that would help but it might be worth knowing whether it's coming up that way for others, or just you.

Yeah, that would be a good test. This occurs for me even when viewing non-submitted memes (like the list I see when I click "Profile" -> "See all"). I need to actually test it on the full/community meme listing, on one of my submitted and featured memes.

You lost me there. Under Profile "See All" you can only see featured images, not unsubmitted ones. To go to unsubmitted images, you have to go to My Images. At least, that's how it is for me.

But if you can let me know which memes you're thinking about and when they came out, I'll try to see if they're visible to me in Latest, if you want.

Oh gosh - you are totally right. My bad. What I meant was, I don't have to be viewing the main/shared/community list of memes - I can be viewing just my featured memes, and they will disappear when I uncheck "other." So sorry for the confusion.

It seems like the filtering logic is excluding a submission based on it being "other" (not sure what the criteria are for this flag), even if it is also tagged as a meme. If a submission is tagged as a meme, it should not be excluded even if it is also considered "other," right?

The filtering logic of the site is a bit above my head, but what you're saying there sounds right. I don't see why it should be excluded if it has the "memes" tag.

Basically, it seems to occur with any meme that uses a custom template.

OK the same thing happened to me when I viewed your memes.

I clicked on your Profile, clicked "See All" and put it on Latest, saw those three memes there on the first page - and then when I unchecked "other" they were gone from the page.

I hope your message to imgflip is able to resolve it.
