I care about both of those. Changing the character dramatically is NOT ok. Like changing for race or changing the age dramatically. It's like if Spiderman wore blue instead of red.

I agree. It's not about DISLIKING a black Mary Jane. It's more about LIKING the red-headed white Mary Jane we have seen in comics and on all types of screens over the decades! Remember when Ving Rhames started playing KOJAK? Ving is one of my favorite actors, but that show didn't make it past one season!

Trust me, I rather dislike the change as well. However, I'm gonna wait to see where this goes before I start making any judgement. Perhaps they'll pull it off? I dunno. I'm really just commentating on how people react to stuff.

True. I hope whoever may or may not play Mary Jane is successful portraying a new character, but not changing old ones.
