It's not "debunked". there's a difference between the full budget and the discretionary budget. Here is the full 2016 budget.

Just for kicks, look up how much of the "Defense Spending" budget is spent on pensions, military pay, and veteran healthcare.

And the National Priorities Project? LOL!!! A little digging and you'll find this group supports government-mandated redistribution of wealth -- through higher taxes and greater expenditures on social welfare programs. NPP exhorts the government to redirect a significant portion of its military funding toward public education, universal health insurance, environmentalist projects, and welfare programs. They're funded by billionaire socialist George Soros.

They're also full of bias (among other stuff).

I trust a .gov much more than a .org or .com when it comes to reporting how funds are spent.

All government spending is "government-mandated". :) And, I agree, Soros does have an agenda. . . he's really pro-defense spending, pro-globalism, and pro-Hillary. But, Politifact also has an agenda and has been shown to be wrong more than a few times. I tend to use the old journalists rule--find at least two independent sources to back up your information.
