When told overqualified, tell interviewer, "Great, that means I have the qualifications. When do you want me to start?"
It can't hurt if they aren't planning to hire you, anyway... And that little extra gumption might actually land you the job.
The important thing is toake sure you ask when they want you to start. It's kinda fun to watch them stammer.
