There is a Cuban connection to the JFK assassination. The CIA doesn't play fair (or nice) and planned a whole bunch of stuff. (See "Operation Mongoose" and "Operation Northwoods"). Today, the CIA blames Cuba for the JFK assassination. The Cubans blame the CIA. Ted's father was a Cuban who was very likely involved in this.
