Actually, it goes hand in hand with her press manipulation. A one on one interview, the DNC can control the questions and prep for answers. A press conference would have to allow foreign press in that would ask embarrassing questions: the Wikileaks, why she didn't step aside once she discovered her nomination was rigged, the purjury investigation brought about due to Benghazi testimony. Hillary will lose it in an actual press conference.
