*cough Electoral college decides not the people *cough. :{

The Electoral College is comprised of American voters - not non-Americans. Those are the American voters referred to. It is meant as a reminder to the increasing numbers of non-Americans who want to influence this election, somehow (and those non-Americans who feel they should have the right to somehow influence it, this election, on the basis that there is one global community and all are affected by its outcome).

For clarity's sake: I meant to state that the Electoral College is comprised of American registered voters.

Additionally, while it certainly is lawful for the Electoral College to do as it pleases, regardless of the ballots cast - it has never yet gone against the raw majority of ballots cast. It is quite doubtful that the College will turn around suddenly and do it this time.
