Paul claimed to have met Jesus AFTER he died. He never met nor was taught by Jesus.

Galatians 1:11-12 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

However, according to the Gospels, Jesus handed his Church to Peter. Paul came in after Jesus was already dead and claimed that the Christ Spirit talked to him. I prefer to study the Gospels and what Jesus said. . . not what Paul says since he admits he just might have made it all up.

Sandi2, I hope you realize that up to now I have only posted scripture and not one word of my own... You are not debating me... but... the scriptures.

"If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord." Paul 1 Corinthians 14:37

Peter acknowledges Paul's writings as scripture.

2 Peter 3:15-16 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you; As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the **other scriptures,** unto their own destruction.

So far all you have posted is your own words... no scripture... the picture that is in your first post you put your own words on an image that is supposed to be but is not Jesus Christ.

Biblical scholars agree that Peter did not write Second Epistle of Peter. It was probably written 30-40 years after Peter died.

The biggest difference between Jesus' teachings and Paul's teachings is that Jesus expects you to do good works without expecting anything in return and without making a big deal of it. Paul thinks you only need faith and things are OK. You can only make the world a better place when you ACT like a Christian. . . not just believing like a Pauline.

Why do you even read the Bible?... apparently you only pick and choose only what you want to believe...

1. I don't believe what alleged "Bible Scholars" say about the Bible. I believe the Bible.

2. The words of Paul are the words of Jesus...

Galatians 1:10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

The Bible is a book written by Men. Men are imperfect. Men have agendas. The scripture that made it into the Bible was chosen by Men who sought to promote an agenda. The words were translated by Men who were imperfect and paid by powerful Men with agendas. The KJB was contracted by King James I & VI who, as King of England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland, sought to unite the kingdom under one single religion and eliminate heresies against the Church of England. I read the Bible just as I read the Teachings of Buddha, the Koran, or any other spiritual teaching. All of them have Truth. The difficulty lies in separating the Wheat from the Chaff.
