Here in FL if you have a thousand or so in cash, a cop can confiscate it as drug money and never have to return it, press charges, or have a jury decide or any other due process. It's stupid.

That is living in a police state for sure... No due process, the officer is judge and jury... some day he could become executioner as well and the average citizen is completely asleep.... God help us.
It's living in somewhat of a police state with some unconstitutional corrupt laws, but I wouldn't say it's quite the same as living in a police state.
Definitely could go down hill and be completely out of control.

This is how it works... one morning we will wake up... and we will realize too late... that our freedoms are gone... it will be like the proverbial frog being slowly brought to the boiling point in a pot of water... when we live in a country where the potential for "indefinite detention" without trial and due process of law is a genuine possibility... we live in a police state.
YEAH, IF YOU WOULD REALIZE THAT WHEN THE GOVERNMENT CAN SEIZE YOUR CASH AND CONFISCATE YOUR PROPERTY WITHOUT DUE PROCESS OF LAW... YOU ARE LIVING IN A POLICE STATE... THAT WOULD BE GREAT...
