I get what they're really saying, but it's true, black people kill more black people than all the others put together...I don't know this for a fact, but it sure seems that way in the metro cities.

Statistics do show that the majority (over 90%) of all killings of a black person is the result of another black person shooting them. People want to constantly talk about minorities and use percentages to show more blacks are killed than white (based off of population of each race), but the real minority is police officers. They make up less than .5% of the entire population, which means more police officers are killed than blacks.

This is a very true statement raydog. In the USA (the highest gun laws in america) last year 2665 out of 2447 blacks have been killed by other blacks. Compare this to the fact that African Americans make up only 19% of the overall population. It is very alarming indeed. Contributioning to this in my opinion, is the fact that 70% of black children grow up without a father. In turn they are obviously more likely to adopt a role model that has a negative impact on their mindset and inturn life. I believe if we unify and get to the root of the problem instead of dividing ourselves we can make real progress in the furture.

If the world would come together, we could have all the wondrous things we see in the movies. All the futuristic tech, conquering space, and defeating hunger and the like...but none of that will ever happen until we as "the human race" come together as one people and work together to achieve these things.

You were speaking about the South side of Chicago. Are they really Mexicans or actually Puerto Ricans? My daughter's husband's family is from there.

I would say 85% of the shootings are gangs and drugs related, over 3000 gangs by now, I got the he'll out in 04 after being shot at a few times, and I never joined any gangs but caught in the middle of all that crap!

Good for you. My son-in-law's brothers are caught up in that crap. Gangs are just like a pack of wild dogs. A bunch of loners with no where to go banding together to survive any way they can.

Well you can come up with a million reasons why kids join gangs these days, but in reality there's no one around to tell these kids that they're getting themselves in a losing battle, it's just survival of the fittest!

It's majority of Mexicans that are at an area called little village all the way from chicago Ave to 176th street you have little gap of blacks and other races but mainly by cook County jail it all gangs and drugs!
