Wrong. The normal generic word for God is "alaha"/"aloho" (????), which is linguistically related to the Hebrew word for God "elohim". The root of Allah is related in Arabic to the "Elohim" of Hebrew, but not Aramaic.

The Hebrew word for God is "El"--sometimes "Ela". Elohim is plural. Aramaic is a Semitic language as is both Hebrew and Arabic. Aramaic for "God" is Allah. The word "God" is Germanic (gudan), the word Deity is from the Greek (Deus/Zeus).

You missed again. The pronunciation is different. I said the roots are related. Yes. They are semetic languages. But Portuguese, Romanian, and Spanish are romance languages. While some words are the same and some basic rules say. They are different and have pronunciation that us different. "Allah" is Arabic. "Alaha" is Aramaic. It sounds differently.

Sure, pronunciations from one end of town to the other will be different. But, the God Jesus prayed to is the same God the Muslims pray to.

Sure. They come from the same root. Just a different philosophy. That's not what I'm contending.????

That's not what you said in your meme comment, though.

The conversation grew and I went with it. Jesus called God "Allah" because, in the Aramaic language, "Allah" is the word for God. Now, all 3 Abrahamic religions (Jew, Christian, Muslim) worship the same God. They just worship that God in different ways.

Because he's wrong. Aramaic is a semitic language like Arabic and Hebrew. The Hebrews pronounced God "El" or "Ela", and it's Allah in Aramaic and Arabic. The only difference is whether you pronounce the beginning "Eh" or "Ah". It's the same God of the Old Testament.

Nope. From my Hebrew lessons. The name Elohim is unique to Hebraic thinking: it occurs only in Hebrew and in no other ancient Semitic language. The masculine plural ending does not mean “gods” when referring to the true God of Israel, since the name is mainly used with singular verb.

The Canaanite gods were called "Elohim". The Quran uses the term "Allahum" as the plural.

And?

It's not uniquely Hebraic thinking.

I didn't know that satan was such a nice guy... And that he has self-worth prabloms...
"O You who believe! Enter absolutely into peace (Islam). Do not follow in the footsteps of iiblis(satan) . He is an outright enemy to you.” (Holy Quran: 2, 208)
“allah does not forbid you from being good to those (non-believes) who have not fought you in the religion or driven you from your homes, or from being just towards them. Allah loves those who are just.” (Surat al-Mumtahana, 8)
"And let not those among you who are blessed with graces and wealth swear not to give (any sort of help) to their kinsmen, Al-Masakin (the poor), and those who left their homes for Allah’s Cause. Let them pardon and forgive. Do you not love that Allah should forgive you? And Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. [An’Nur24:22]
