Close enough. You'd fit in here. But you might get beaten up for the sandwich. Some of the homeless here are edgy lately.

Unfortunately, the police here constantly harass the homeless for "loitering," downtown has banned "camping" to all but push them out of sight in order to not disturb the shoppers. I would think the solution would be to treat humans humanely as opposed to hiding the problem.

In Portland the mayor has okayed homeless sleeping on public property. I agree with the humane part - after all, I live up here on the left coast - but it's weird to be walking in the middle of downtown and suddenly there's a tent...

I could see that. Maybe I subconsciously have a fear that I will end up becoming homeless one day? Perhaps I should be studying their habits more closely...

My fear of being homeless makes me come to this darn job every day. But at least I can meme quite a bit. Actually, making money to afford beer and music is what makes me come to this job...
