How does that in any way prove your point? It's a nation or territory, not a partial territory. Just like a country, it has limited power. Plus, a state, just like a country, has it's own federal system. Therefore, a state and a country are very similar. Not exactly the same, of course, but very similar.

States of not necessarily have their own federal laws. Don't mince.if you read what I wrote carefully, you'll see that the definition is not limited to or stuck at being a country. In fact, in a Federalist system, it isn't.
