If you really wanted to hear the truth, politicians would tell you the truth to get elected. But you don't, so they don't.

And the reason I don't vote is because no politician can be trusted and they won't tell the truth. If politicians were to actually tell the truth for a change, it might show they have some integrity, and therefor get them more votes.

Would be an interesting experiment: Just let a politican say nothing but the truth about absokutely everything, see how far he can come.
