That was me in Little League. I swear God was telling me to skip baseball because every ball hit to me took a "bad bounce" right into my face.

My dad was an ump for the league and wanted my brother and I to be players. It was his thing. I ended up playing football then tennis for many years. Bad part was I wore glasses and back then they didn't have plastic lenses.

Perfectly timed photo. One time when my son was playing little league baseball he was up to bat and foul tipped a ball into the umps face after he got a full count. I caught it on VHS.
