I guess I don't "know" it; it's just what I believe. My reasoning? Because I have never seen any proof of an existence of a god. I don't believe in any god. There are thousands of religions out there that each have a god. Of those thousands, let's say 2,000, I disbelieve in 2,000 of them. You disbelieve in 1,999 of them? I'm curious how you came to the conclusion that the 1 you selected is the "right" one?

Saying "you personally don't believe something" is a far cry from saying the concept is "unbelievable," or comparing it to magic. Also, just because you haven't personally seen evidence of something, doesn't mean that it isn't true. That's not valid logic.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion. And, my opinion is this: no proof = not true...ask any scientist. That is why to this day there are two opposing positions on this topic and there always will be.

In other areas of life, when you have no data or evidence about something, I doubt you make dogmatic statements one way or the other about it.

So, why are you making a statement that God doesn't exist, and that the very concept is "unbelievable," when you don't have evidence or reasoning one way or the other? Lack of evidence should put you in a position of "neutrality," and willingness to gather more evidence (if you really were scientifically minded), rather than a position of rejection based on lack of data.

The reason non-believers don't believe is not lack of proof. It's lack of the willingness of non-believers to examine the proof all around them and think for themselves.
