Socrates, socrates, socrates, can we not just agree to disagree? I do not believe in god. I have no scientific proof that god does not exist, as I can not prove ANYTHING doesn't exist, like a unicorn for example. Am I the first atheist you have encountered? And yes, I can tell you, as a non-believer, that the reason I don't believe is lack of proof. And what "proof all around" we non-believers are you talking about, pray tell? As far as the comment about non-believers lacking the willingness to think for themselves, the exact opposite is in fact the truth. Unlike sheep, I mean believers, who have been told since the beginning of time what to believe through relentless brainwashing, we question all the fables told in the good book and think for ourselves. LOL, a scientist would not say "no proof=we don't know if it's true or not yet." The most I'll give you is "no-proof=not true, until you prove otherwise".
